Note: Foreign Nationals who are U.S. Permanent Residents, on approved Refugee or Asylum status can study in the United States without any restrictions.

Part-time study that is vocational or recreational is permitted. F-2 dependents may not begin a “course of study” until a change to F-1, M-1, or J-1 status is approved.
